Final homework for Term 3 - apart from the regular spelling and reading.
In class you will watch “The Lorax” again. You have spent 8 weeks researching, discussing and learning about the way people are making changes to the environment.
Your HOMEWORK task is a writing task and your audience comprises the citizens who live around the Truffela Forest, and those who represent the citizens (the members of parliament) of that region.
You are to write a fictional argument that will go in every citizen’s mailbox trying to get support from each of them, to protect the Trufella Forest as well as the animals in it.
You are to imagine that the ONCELER has not begun his destruction, and that the people have as yet, not been “conned.”
You already have learnt enough to prove to the people that they should protect the forest and the animals. Your argument must contain explanations and examples. You must include at least one endangered forest and one endangered animal within your writing. Here are some reminders: (also check Mrs Z’s lessons page)

The people of the Truffela area, will be participating in a COMPULSORY referendum.
"Logging of the Truffela Forest must stop immediately Yes □ No □ " is their question.
Present your writing on pages from your writing pad, or type and print.
Due date: Monday of the last week of school.
